GEOTEK is hiring an Entry Level Process Engineer for 2nd shift to own the floor, troubleshoot issues, run trials, and design tooling in SolidWorks. You’ll become the engineering presence on the production floor, driving improvements and supporting pultrusion and filament winding processes.

No composites experience required at start; we will teach the pultrusion and winding processes. This role demands ownership, practical problem-solving, and an eagerness to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials or manufacturing preferred).
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks—parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Willingness to learn composites manufacturing on the job.
• Comfortable with a 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday – Friday schedule.
• Self starter with strong communication skills across roles.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift engineering support for filament winding and pultrusion production.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis with operations crews.
• Own continuous improvement projects from problem identification through implementation.
• Design fixtures, tooling, and ancillary components in SolidWorks.
• Build and maintain work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation.

• Train and coach production operators on process and equipment.

Entry Level Process Engineer – 2nd Shift

About the Role

GEOTEK manufactures engineered fiberglass composite structures for utility infrastructure using continuous manufacturing processes- pultrusion and filament winding. We've been doing it for over 30 years and we're growing.

We're hiring a Process Engineer to be the engineering presence on our floor during 2nd shift. You'll be the person operations comes to when something isn't running right- troubleshooting, running trials, designing tooling in SolidWorks, and pushing improvements that stick.

You don't need composites experience walking in- we'll teach you the pultrusion and filament winding. What we're after is someone hands-on who wants to own the process and grow with it.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You're not shadowing an engineer waiting for direction. You're the one making the call and following through.

What You'll Do

• Lead 2nd shift engineering support for filament winding and pultrusion production

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials, or manufacturing preferred)

Physical Work Conditions

Time should be split between the floor and the office or meeting rooms ranging anywhere from 25% to 75% on the production floor or engineering labs. While working on the floor there will be work with and around moving machinery, fumes and chemicals. Office work requires sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.

The compensation range for this position is $66,265 – $82,831. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The posted range represents the expected earning potential for this position within the current organizational budget and market conditions.
