Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Mathematical ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Reasoning: apply common sense to carry out oral instructions in standardized situations.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs per hand and carry it for at least 250 feet.
• Ability to assume various positions (bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing).

Responsibilities

• Operate 1–3 houses.
• Keep houses clean.
• Ensure chickens have proper water, feed, temperature, and maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain daily charts on water, temperature, and maintenance.
• Work closely with supervisor and maintenance.
• Replace burned-out light bulbs.
• Keep catwalks and manure pits clean.
• Remove and count dead chickens daily.
• Travel to and work at multiple locations.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
