Job summary

City of South San Francisco is seeking Police Recruit for a continuous entry-level recruitment to establish an eligible list for future vacancies. Recruits attend a POST-certified academy and may be appointed to a probationary Police Officer after training, with full career progression in public safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old at hire.
• No felony or domestic violence convictions.
• Must meet standards of physical stature, endurance and agility.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident eligible and applying for citizenship.
• High school diploma or GED (community college education preferred).
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• PELLETB written exam with T-score 48+ or an associate degree.
• WSTB cert with 384+ and 1.5-mile run under 14 minutes, cert within 12 months.
