• High moral and ethical character required; felony conviction or dishonorable discharge disqualifies the candidate.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Connecticut driver’s license and ability to carry firearms.

• Protect life and property by enforcing state and local laws and ordinances.
• Maintain patrols of Groton by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or patrol vehicle; deter violations and respond to incidents.
