• 102 Sworn Officers | Patrol, Detective, Traffic Divisions
• Specialized Units: Community Policing, SRO, K9, Motorcycle, Drone,

• Fleet: 45 Police Interceptors, Tahoes, Harley-Davidson & BMW Motorcycles & Mobile Command Center
• Salary Range: $80,288.00----$103,251.20 (Full pay while at the academy)
• Private Duty Rate: $79.47 ($105.96 Holidays/Weekends)
• Potential of $250,000---$400,000 at Retirement with 5/YR DROP Plan
• 2-3 % Cost of Living Adjustment at Retirement

TRAINING PATH

• POST Academy in Meriden or area satellite academy

• Begin career in Patrol Division as a solo officer

SHIFT SCHEDULE

• 8-hour shifts | 5 on / 3 off rotation (then 5 on / 2 off)
• Shift bidding by seniority every 15 weeks
