Job summary

Producers Midstream Management, LLC is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Operations Technician to support day-to-day operation and maintenance of midstream gas processing facilities. You will assist Plant Operators with inspections, preventative maintenance, and routine plant activities to gain hands-on experience.

This developmental role offers hands-on training with mentorship and the opportunity to advance into a Plant Operator position based on performance, training, and business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of industrial or mechanical experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with familiarity of tools.
• Willingness to learn plant operations and safety systems.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communications and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer/data entry; Excel knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Operators in monitoring and operating plant systems, equipment, and controls.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and minor repairs.
• Monitor and record operational data including pressures, temperatures, levels, and flow rates.
• Support plant startup, shutdown, and emergency response procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and reporting abnormalities.
• Conduct facility inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant and surrounding areas.
• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with safety and environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and job hazard assessments.
• Assist contractors and vendors as directed, ensuring compliance with company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational logs.

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Operations Technician supports the day-to-day operation and maintenance of midstream natural gas processing facilities and associated equipment. This entry-level role assists Plant Operators with operational tasks, equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and routine plant activities.

This is a developmental position designed to provide hands-on training and experience with the opportunity to advance into a Plant Operator role based on performance, training, business needs, and demonstrated readiness.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Plant Operators in monitoring and operating plant systems, equipment, and controls.

• Assist contractors and vendors as directed, ensuring compliance with company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn about plant operations, process flow, and safety systems.
• Able to work in plant environments.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel and maintenance systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
• Ability to operate variance pieces of equipment i.e., tractor, mower, manlift, pressure washer, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions:

• Working outdoors most of the time in various weather conditions and on uneven and/or slippery surfaces.
• Working indoors occasionally at a workstation using a computer and standard office equipment.
• Exposure to natural gas, chemicals, heavy equipment, and sharp and hazardous tools in plant areas.
• Work is performed at a plant facility with exposure to loud noise, machinery, and hazardous materials.
• This role provides foundational experience in plant operations and maintenance and is designed as a steppingstone to the Plant or Field Operator positions based on performance, training, and business need. Within your first year, you will need to demonstrate the ability and readiness to transition into a plant or field-based role.
