Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a phlebotomist to perform venipunctures and obtain blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate careful technique, proper labeling, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced clinical environment.

No prior experience is required; however, 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist or in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Prepares specimens for testing and ensures proper documentation.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
