Job summary

Meijer, a family company, serves people and communities. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to retrieve medications, input prescriptions, and assist in dispensing in our Midland, MI pharmacy.

You will handle labels, insurance claims, restock medications, and promote clinical services while maintaining a clean, confidential, and professional pharmacy environment. A positive attitude and good customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate data entry and typing skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Basic math and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
