Job summary

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates effective communication across departments.
• Performs unit secretary duties, including telephone duties and messaging.
• Assists RN with patient care (lifting, turning, repositioning, vital signs, EKG, urinalysis, etc.).
• Assists with room turnovers, restocking, cleaning, hazardous disposal.
• Handles high‑tech equipment such as microscopes, lasers, video equipment.
• Assembles, cleans, prepares and moves equipment as directed.
• Handles specimen packaging, tracking, and regulatory compliance.
• Delivers specimens and labs within acceptable time frames.
• Monitors and maintains oxygen cylinders.
• Acts as liaison with Biomedical Dept.
• Assists in patient positioning and prep for procedures.
