Responsibilities

Answer calls and investigate incidents, interview witnesses, gather information, make arrests, and testify in court.
Exercise powers of arrest and use of force; enforce motor vehicle laws; respond to crime scenes and assist at emergencies.
May be assigned to specialized duties such as desk work, records, license inspection, evidence handling, training, or radio operation.
Advise the public on laws and ordinances and perform related duties.
