Minimum qualifications include completion of a Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, or related program, or two years of direct patient care experience; licensure or enrollment in nursing education is considered.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Nurse Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or similar certification.
  • Completion of an EMT, Medical Corpsman, or UTMB Hospital Aide Training program.
  • Two years of direct patient care experience or active MA/PCT/CNA certification.
  • Enrollment in nursing education with clinical concepts or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas.
