Job summary

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a collaborative nursing team, assisting Registered Nurses in delivering hands-on care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will help with vital signs, mobility, personal care, and care plan monitoring while demonstrating empathy and teamwork. This role supports infection control and efficient patient flow in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED required
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
