Job summary

Spartan Emergency Response is seeking a Paint/Body technician to prep, sand, and buff painted vehicles. You will mask surfaces, seal seams, and apply primers while ensuring paint finishes meet quality standards.

Ideal candidates have automotive paint experience, are able to use sanders and grinders, and work safely in a team environment. Stay mindful of OSHA and EPA guidelines on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1-year experience in automotive paint prep and body repair
• Preferred high school diploma or GED
• Ability to run dual action sanders, grinders, and miscellaneous hand tools
• Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to learn how to mix primers and other paint products
• Ability to perform tasks within time standards and maintain quality standards
• Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards

Responsibilities

• Prep, sand, and buff painted vehicles.
• Mask off surfaces and seal seams with epoxy.
• Prime areas where body filler was applied and sand finishes.
• Buff paint to a proper finish and maintain 6S cleanliness.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment.
