Job summary

Hampton Lumber is seeking an Entry Level - Operator 1 at the Randle Division to maintain a clean facility and support mill operations. The role involves sweeping, picking up wood debris, dust mitigation, and learning to operate some advanced production equipment during cross-training.

It is a full-time position with a Tuesday-Friday daytime schedule and potential swing shifts. Starting wage is $24.04 per hour (about $50,003 per year before overtime and bonuses).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Completion of high-school or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Sawmill experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to safely work at a moderate to fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Keep the facility clean to eliminate safety and fire hazards.
• General facility cleanup including picking up slabs, sticks, sawdust, chips from lower mill floors.
• Assist with dust mitigation and blow downs; maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Cross training lead-ins to operate some advanced production equipment.
