Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. is seeking an Entry-level Mechanical Designer to join our California engineering team in Irvine/Corona.

You will assist in designing mechanical components and systems, performing basic analyses, and supporting documentation as part of a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment. The role offers hands-on experience across design, testing, and project support, with opportunities to work with senior engineers on diverse building projects and to develop technical and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering field.
• Internship or co‑op experience in a mechanical engineering role is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products using Revit.
• Conduct basic engineering calculations and analysis (heat loads, air flows).
• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specs, plans, and reports.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to meet milestones.
• Assist in quality control and supplier/material evaluation processes.
