Job summary

Somerset Auto Repair is hiring an Entry Level Mechanic in Somerset, KY. No weekends, Monday to Friday 8am–5pm, with paid training and paid vacation plus health care option. We provide a clean shop, modern tools, and a supportive, drama-free team culture.

Own tools and basic automotive knowledge are required to start your long-term automotive career. We invest in your growth through mentorship, hands-on training, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Own tools and toolbox required.
• Basic automotive knowledge or hands-on experience preferred.
• Automotive school or vocational training is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic vehicle inspections.
• Assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn proper diagnostic and repair procedures through paid hands-on training.
• Use tools and equipment properly and safely.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members.
• Follow shop procedures and proven systems.
• Continue developing your automotive skills as part of a professional team.
