Job summary

Marinemax is seeking a Marine Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain recreational vessels. You will work on engines, electrical systems, plumbing, and rigging while performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure safe operation per manufacturer specs.

You will install and service AC/DC electrical systems and navigation equipment, diagnose engines and propulsion components, and maintain records for warranty claims.

Qualifications

• Proficient in diagnosing electrical and electronic systems on marine vessels.
• Experience with engines (inboard/outboard/diesel) and associated fuel/cooling systems.
• Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance and conduct sea trials.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and repair AC/DC electrical systems and navigation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines, fuel and cooling systems, and drivetrains.
• Maintain propulsion, steering, and hydraulic systems; perform PDI checks.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and winterization to extend vessel life.
• Document work orders and support warranty claims with photos and notes.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and complete timely service.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
