Smurfit Westrock in Roanoke Rapids, NC is hiring entry-level Operations Team Members to support paper, pulp, shipping and power & recovery departments. Starting pay is $26 per hour with growth to $34+ per hour within 6 months, reflecting rapid advancement in a manufacturing environment.

This full-time role offers multi-area exposure and on-the-job training. Candidates need a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of full-time work experience (manufacturing preferred), ability to lift 50

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of continuous full-time work experience, preferably in manufacturing, or post-secondary education.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Strong safety mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in noisy environments, around chemicals, high heat, and in varying weather conditions.
