Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Florida is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to join our engineering team in Crawfordville. You will support development and optimization of manufacturing methods, materials, and equipment to meet product specifications and schedules.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree and 0–3 years of experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn across disciplines. This is a full-time on-site role with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience
• Engineering degree required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
• Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
• Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards.
