Daedong HI-LEX of America is seeking a facility maintenance helper in Cusseta, Alabama to assist with basic maintenance and repairs, learning foundational skills and supporting higher-level technicians. You will help maintain and repair building systems, document work, and ensure a safe, orderly work environment.

The role involves learning mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance while following safety practices and contributing to smooth plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong work ethic and adherence to safety practices.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., light bulb changes, minor repairs).
• Troubleshoot and assist with basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Accurately document work performed.
• Runs conduit and wires.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
• Use micrometers, calipers and like equipment, electrical measuring instruments, set up and run lathe, mill, cutting torch and arc welder.
