Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Abilene, TX seeks an Entry Level Technician to support skilled craftspeople with production machinery under supervision. You will learn to set up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down equipment while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include assisting machine operators, reducing downtime through preventive maintenance, and helping troubleshoot during production. The role requires following written/oral instructions and basic tools knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline (preferred).
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with industry specialists to troubleshoot/diagnose problems with production machinery.
• Learn to set-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery.
• Assist with keeping designated machinery in running condition.
• Minimize downtime by assisting with effective PM procedures and management.
• Assist with troubleshooting machinery errors during production times.
• Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly.
