Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; special certifications may be required.
• At least one year of machining experience.
• Reads blueprints, drawings, and routings to follow specs.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, including trig, is preferred.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Makes simple setups and performs repetitive machining operations per pre-planned methods.
• Taps, deburrs, drills, and maintains part quality within tolerances.
• Aligns and fastens parts using fixtures and holding devices.
• Adjusts feeds, speeds, and depth of cut; removes burrs and tool marks.
• Inspects parts with calipers, micrometers, and surface plates; may use CMM.
• Maintains equipment and participates in lean initiatives.
• Adheres to safety rules and maintains clean work area.
