Job summary

Nucor in Wisconsin is seeking a Seamer Operator to setup and operate the Oteman and cut material panels for final product assembly, supporting the vinyl weld department and RF welder per the production schedule.

You will measure, lay out, program equipment, load materials with forklift or crane, change tooling, inspect work pieces and perform preventive maintenance, while upholding safety policies in every shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret basic reports and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical background with ability to handle fabrication tools.
• Ability to prioritize and follow the production schedule.
• Ability to safely operate forklift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program equipment and make changes as needed.
• Load materials using forklift or overhead crane.
• Change out tooling when necessary.
• Utilize software to program correct files per schedule.
• Cut materials or weld as required by production.
• Inspect parts to ensure quality meets customer requirements.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety policies and housekeeping standards.
