Job summary

Evolved Lighting & Energy, based in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an entry level Lighting/Controls Technician to retrofit fixtures with LED technology and install occupancy sensors and building controls for commercial, industrial, and municipal customers across Ohio. The role requires 6 months+ tool experience, reliability, and the ability to work 8–12 hour shifts.

Occasional travel within Ohio is required, with background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to commute and travel within Ohio.
• 6 months+ experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience installing lighting fixtures, motion sensors and building controls preferred.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Identify wire connectors, couplings, and adapters.
• Must be able to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts for a 40-hour week.
• Willing to travel to surrounding counties in Ohio for weekly projects.
• Background and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Retrofit existing light fixtures with LED technology.
• Remove old interior/exterior fixtures and install new LEDs.
• Install motion-activated occupancy sensors and building controls.
• Install LED tube retrofits and ballast bypass.
• Load/unload materials and equipment for job sites.
• Perform general maintenance of trucks and equipment.
• Maintain clean job sites and curb debris each shift.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Entry Level Lighting/Controls Technician

Evolved Lighting & Energy is a growing lighting design and installation company based out of Columbus, Ohio. We currently have openings for hard-working and reliable Technicians within our company. We service Commercial, Industrial, and Municipal Customers throughout the state of Ohio and Midwest!

Job Duties:

• Retrofit existing light fixtures with new LED technology
• Removing existing interior/exterior fixtures and installing new LED fixtures
• Install motion activated occupancy sensors and building controls
• Install L.E.D tube retrofits and ballast bypass
• Load and unload company vehicles with materials and equipment for job site
• Complete general maintenance of Trucks and Equipment
• Housekeeping- Ensuring job sites are free and clear of all debris each shift
• Perform other tasks as needed

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Reliable Transportation
• 6 months+ experience with hand and power tools

• Must undergo background and drug screen
