Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across various properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision, safely operate commercial landscaping equipment, and assist with plant materials and landscape features.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and routine upkeep while maintaining a courteous attitude toward guests and customers, with potential weekend hours and a valid driver’s license for fleet vehicles.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and enthusiastic.
• Ability to safely operate power landscaping equipment.
• Certified on Level 1 equipment (blower, edger, trimmer, mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with mowers, trim edges, and operate a blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to shape growth.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Pick up trash and blow leaves onto turf before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter during maintenance.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Remove trash and dead plants; maintain landscape.
• Maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with guests.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader.
