Job summary

Eau Claire Animal Hospital, part of Lakefield Veterinary Group, is seeking a caring Kennel Attendant to join our team. This is a great entry-level role for someone 16 or older who loves animals and enjoys a fast-paced, family-friendly environment.

You'll help ensure boarding guests and hospital patients are comfortable, clean, and well cared for while supporting our veterinary team. No prior experience required—we’ll train the right person.

Qualifications

• Must love animals and be comfortable around dogs, cats and other pets.
• Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and enjoys collaborating with others.
• Able to communicate professionally and kindly with clients and teammates.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and lift moderate loads as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to pets in our facility.
• Feed pets according to care instructions and provide fresh water.
• Walk dogs and supervise exercise, playtime, and enrichment.
• Monitor pets' well-being and report concerns to the veterinary team.
• Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and boarding areas.
• Assist with keeping supplies stocked and notify when inventory runs low.
