Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or a related field.
• Interest in developing a career in internal audit, SOX compliance, risk management, or business process controls.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information, follow procedures, and document work clearly.
• Basic understanding of accounting, auditing, internal controls, or business process concepts; willing to learn company processes.
• Ability to analyze information, ask thoughtful questions, and elevate potential issues appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, information requests, walkthrough preparation, testing, and follow-up.
• Document process flows, risks, and controls through walkthroughs with process owners.
• Execute test procedures for SOX, financial, compliance, and operational audits under supervision.
• Gather and review audit evidence to verify procedures were followed.
• Prepare clear, well-supported workpapers describing procedures and conclusions.
• Identify potential exceptions or control gaps and elevate for review.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, process owners, and external auditors to support timely completion.
• Draft audit observations and status updates for management review.
• Develop knowledge of internal audit methodology and SOX requirements.
