Job summary

Prince William Water seeks an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician I to assist in maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment across our facilities. You will use specialized test equipment and support preventive maintenance and daily operations while working under supervision.

This position follows the Career Path policy, with advancement to Technician II within five years and mandatory on-call work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related Instrumentation or Electrical work experience.
• Combination of education and experience acceptable per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic preventive maintenance and repairs on instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Locate instruments and electrical devices and use the correct tools under supervision.
• Complete performance checks and record findings.
• Install electrical conduit under supervision and set up raceways as directed.
• Operate a Prince William Water vehicle as needed and follow safety rules.
• Communicate with other Technicians on daily tasks and projects.
