Job summary

WM is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant to perform limited preventive maintenance, complete minor repairs, and assist in major repairs at our Philadelphia facility.

You will follow safety rules, keep a clean, safe work area, and may work nights or weekends to support the operating schedule. Pre‑employment screening and a physical are required. This role requires physical endurance and strict adherence to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
• Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in accordance with WM Safety and Life Critical Rules and OSHA requirements.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance; ensure plant equipment functions properly.
• Assist technicians in adjustments, repair or replacement of fixed and rolling stock equipment (e.g., balers, conveyors, motors, gears, shafts, bearings).
• Perform other maintenance and project-related work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures.
• May work nights and weekends to support operating schedule and facility needs.
