Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Novice Nurse – Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (less than 12 months of experience) in Illinois. The program provides hands-on training, mentoring, and 1-on-1 patient care in home settings with pediatric and adult patients who may require g-tubes, trachs, or ventilators.

Positions are full-time or part-time across Kankakee, Bradley, Gilman, and Onarga. You will learn direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking with 24/7 clinical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active LPN/LVN License.
• Current CPR required.
• PPD or chest X-Ray if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Documents coordination of care in the medical record and communicates as needed.
• Monitors safety of the environment and equipment including universal precautions.
