Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors and people with disabilities at home, following individualized care plans. This entry-level role offers flexible hours and growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding industry.

You will assist with personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation while reporting changes to the care team. A compassionate, reliable, and well-organized attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED or one year in-home care experience.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Provide three references (2 professional and 1 personal).

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide routine house cleaning.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Laundry.
• Transport client to doctor visits and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications (no administering).
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
• Promote Addus HomeCare image in the community.
