Job summary

CAN Community Health is seeking a Program Specialist I to join the Education & Prevention Team in Fort Lauderdale. This entry-level role covers HIV/STI testing, health education, risk reduction counseling, PrEP/HIV linkage, and community outreach, including in shelters, clubs, and clinics.

You will document services in EMR, participate in partnerships, and support program growth under supervision. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; background checks will be

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
1 year of related experience preferred; college coursework may substitute.
Must operate a motor vehicle with valid insurance and license.
Pass Level I and Level II background checks.

Responsibilities

Provide HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing and counseling in community and clinic settings, including phlebotomy.
Educate clients on PrEP and link to PrEP program.
Document testing and counseling in EMR and reporting systems.
Develop partnerships and Agreements with community organizations under supervision.
Represent CAN at local, state, and national events and coordinate services with other teams.
