Job summary

Markesman Group is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our team. The engineer will analyze complex hardware systems, design hardware, and deploy, install, and test equipment across CONUS and OCONUS. The role includes preparing specs, installation packages, and site reports, with a focus on end-to-end hardware solutions.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance and experience with hardware design, servers, networking devices, and storage systems. Occasional travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Must possess a TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Poly clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Seven (7) years experience as a HE analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components including servers, network devices, storage, and processors.
• Ensure problems with operational hardware are identified and resolutions meet user requirements.
• Assist with installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Conduct site surveys and document current network configurations and site requirements.
• Develop hardware installation schedules based on setup, integration, and test timelines.
• Train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
• Prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.
• Prepare drawings documenting as-built configurations at each site.
• Prepare site installation and test reports.
• Configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment.
