Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is seeking hardware development engineers to design, test and support hardware, firmware and semiconductor products powering IBM zSystems, Power Systems and quantum platforms.

Candidates should have a background in electrical/computer engineering, experience with HDL, SPICE, CAD tools, and programming languages, and demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills for collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience in computer hardware design or testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and support hardware, firmware and semiconductor components.
• Contribute to RTL design, verification and physical design tasks.
• Assist with electronics packaging, thermal design and system validation.
• Provide customer and field engineering support.
• Collaborate across teams to drive quality and performance improvements.
