Job summary

Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems is seeking a Grinder/Sander I to prepare fiberglass and composite parts for finishing, remove coatings, and assist with masking and final quality checks. You will work under supervision, follow drawings, and maintain 5S standards in a manufacturing environment.

The position requires high school education, proficient English, basic math skills, and the ability to use a tape measure. Expect potential extended hours and safety compliance as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education or equivalent.
• Communicates in English both written and verbally.
• Must be able to demonstrate accurate basic math skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate the accurate use of a tape measure.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Grinder/Sander duties include smoothing and blending rough components into finished products using machine and hand finishing techniques.
• Operate shop machinery including ventilation booths, ovens, pneumatic tools, and scales.
• Interpret and follow manufacturing orders and drawings; verify conformance to specifications.
