CK Contractors and Development LLC is hiring an Entry Level Grading Equipment Operator in the Charlotte area. The role involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment for site grading, reading site plans, and coordinating with crew members to ensure safe, efficient work.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of site grading or outdoor work experience.
• Ability to operate grading equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to policies.
• Ability to work well with others to achieve results.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed.
• Overtime may be required based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment (bulldozers, excavators, rollers, backhoes, off-road trucks) for site grading.
• Read plans on site and verify grade according to the site plan.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and other activities.
• Prevent hazards by monitoring surroundings and following safety protocols.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections, daily maintenance, and keep equipment clean.
• Keep records of equipment usage and report issues promptly.
• Support other positions when needed to complete projects.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with overtime requirements.
