Job summary

Actalent in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician focused on microbiology and quality control within a regulated GMP environment. The role blends hands-on lab work with autoclave sterilization requalification and routine testing (pH, conductivity, solution prep) across medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field.
• Experience in GMP environments preferred.
• Familiarity with LIMS and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform biological, chemical and physical testing on medical products and materials.
• Conduct environmental monitoring testing at manufacturing facilities.
• Set up test apparatus and ensure methods, standards and procedures comply with regulations.
• Carry out routine lab tasks including pH, conductivity, solution prep, autoclaving and glassware cleaning.
• Use laboratory instruments and LIMS to collect, record and review data accurately.
• Write deviation documentation and support out-of-spec investigations.
• Participate in cross-functional activities to improve quality and efficiency.
