Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their Rail Construction and Administration Management team. In this role, you will work on geotechnical analysis and design, ensuring project stability. You will be responsible for writing reports, collaborating with engineering disciplines, and overseeing geotechnical investigations at various sites.

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry‑Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Rail Construction and Administration Management team. You will bridge the gap between soils at client sites and structures, ensuring the stability and strength of their projects from the ground up. In this role, you will assist on projects involving geotechnical engineering analysis, foundation and subsurface design, and evaluation during construction. You will also assist with the writing and preparation of geotechnical reports, work with other engineering disciplines as part of a larger design team, and assist with the preparation and execution of project schedules. You may also perform research, work with drafters to create design drawings, and travel to project sites for observation, soil classification, and oversight of geotechnical investigations while under direct supervision.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Lincoln, NE, Omaha, NE, Sarpy, NE, Kansas City, MO, Des Moines, IA, and Oklahoma City, OK office locations. This role involves traveling to various job sites and working in diverse terrains and weather conditions.
