Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling or closely related field required.
• Ability to obtain temporary Genetic Counselor license in CA and maintain licensure during employment.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling must be obtained within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients and families about inherited genetic disorders and birth defects and discuss risks, options, and resources.
• Establish a genetic counseling agenda with patients and families and collect detailed family history.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support in-patient and out-patient care, including satellite clinics.
