Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or a GED.
• Must meet medical, age, psychological, and physical standards.
• Must maintain a valid Washington Driver's License.
• Must be able to move objects weighing up to 150 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire alarms with a company; lays and connects hose, holds nozzles and directs water stream; raises and climbs ladders; uses extinguishing equipment.
• Drives fire apparatus; operates pumps and other equipment.
• Ventilates burning buildings; cuts holes in structures as needed.
• Performs salvage and overhaul operations; removes debris and cleans equipment.
• Writes and maintains accurate reports and participates in training.
