Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. in Madison, WI, is seeking a Financial Analyst I to support financial analysis and accounting activities while gaining exposure to a global manufacturing operation.

You will work with finance leadership and cross-functional teams on reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements, using Excel, ERP systems, and BI tools to deliver insights that drive profitability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op acceptable).
• Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE).
• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities.
• Analyze financial results and variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
• Support forecasting, AOP, and budgeting processes.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial analyses for business decisions.
• Monitor KPIs, profitability metrics, and operational trends.
• Develop reports and dashboards to improve visibility into performance.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with sales on reporting and incentive plan performance.
• Support internal audits and documentation requests.
