Davey Resource Group, Inc. in Kent, OH seeks a Survey Technician to join our field team. This entry-level role is ideal for outdoors enthusiasts, with on-the-job training to learn surveying through hands-on experience.

You will work with veteran crews on boundary, topographic, utility, and staking surveys, using total stations, GPS, and levels. Growth opportunities exist as you develop technical skills and advance within the company.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of surveying-related experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying and Mapping preferred, but not required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors full-time in varying weather and field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced survey crews in the field on a variety of survey projects.
• Assist with boundary, ALTA, right-of-way, topographic, utility, bathymetric, and construction staking surveys.
• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment including total stations, levels, GPS equipment, and other field technology.
• Collect field data, take notes, and assist with measurements and staking activities.
• Support field crews with daily survey tasks while learning proper procedures, equipment use, and survey methods.
