Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) is seeking an entry-level auditor located in Lowell, MA. This in-person role requires a related degree with 24 accounting hours and U.S. citizenship.

• Related degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Public Administration that includes 24 semester hours of accounting (may include up to 6 hours in business law).
• GPA 2.95 or above.

Responsibilities

• Plans, performs and reports contract audit assignments related to procurement and contracting between the Federal Government and the Contractor.
• Prepares working papers and analyzes contractor data using automation tools.
• Performs audit steps such as tests and examinations of contractor's direct labor and material costs.
• Checks reports, records, ledgers, and other documents against invoices, receipts, payroll slips, and source documents.
• Verifies charges for materials and labor and ensures proper recording of transactions.
• Maintains audit working papers, including schedules, summaries, and reconciliations.
• Collaborates with team members, providing status updates and suggesting revisions to programs and goals.
