Job summary

Kiewit Mining District is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support regional construction and mining operations. You will help plan, schedule, budget, and manage a fleet of construction and mining equipment, focusing on reliability and preventative maintenance program implementation.

The role offers relocation opportunities and requires willingness to travel, with base compensation between $86,000 and $95,000 per year.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
Ability to work in office and field environments with safety in mind.

Responsibilities

Understand and comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Material handling and procurement.
Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
Inspections of equipment and parts.
Logistics management and communication.
Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Planning for critical lifts and paperwork processing.
Use reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
Establish and maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management.
Support maintenance technicians—ordering parts, schedule crews, and ensure quality and safety.
