Position Overview

AHT, a 40‑year‑old heat‑treating company, offers a regular full‑time 2nd Shift Equipment Operator position at two Waterloo, IA facilities. The role focuses on equipment setup, parts processing, inspection, and routine shop duties, with opportunities for career progression.

Hours & Pay

Monday through Friday, 3‑11 pm. Shift differential is paid on top of a competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment setup, parts processing, and inspection for processes.
• Deliver backup support to technicians using process instructions, work orders, and prints.
• Degrease, clean, unload customer parts, and perform routine shop duties.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of five years equipment operation experience or a two‑year industrial tech degree.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Equipment operating/industrial experience preferred.

We will consider hiring candidates as Heat Treat Support and train them into Heat Treat Equipment Operator if the above qualifications are not met.
