Job summary

Skill in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level contractor to support engineering/operations tasks. The role focuses on handling facility location data, project plans, and documentation, with exposure to mapping software and internal platforms.

No prior experience is required, and training is provided. This temporary position offers skills development, collaboration with internal teams, and opportunities to engage with government and external partners on infrastructure projects within the energy

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required for the role.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are needed.
• Team player and detail-oriented mindset required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide location data for company facilities to internal/external staff.
• Distribute, monitor, track, and archive external project plans.
• Monitor and administer access to internal support platforms.
• Perform basic maintenance/editing of internal support platforms as needed.
• Create facility map packets for projects using mapping software for agencies/consultants/clients.
• Submit notifications and manage documentation for government/state projects.
• Coordinate ROW permits with state/local entities and follow through to approval.
• Sign client plan sets digitally when required by authorities.
