Arcadis is currently searching for an Entry Level Energy/Mechanical Engineer to support our growing energy group. This position can be based in any location in New York State and focuses on engineering design, energy efficiency, electrification, decarbonization, commissioning, renewable generation and other clean‑energy projects throughout the U.S., with a primary emphasis on the Northeast U.S.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a robust work ethic. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are essential along with the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be self‑motivated, dependable, and willing to take ownership of tasks, with a flexible approach to new assignments and challenges. A solid understanding of engineering concepts related to building and mechanical systems, energy efficiency, and clean‑energy technologies is required, while knowledge of building control, power, and lighting systems is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is expected, and familiarity with AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit is advantageous. Willingness to participate in a combination of office work, field assignments, and travel is preferred.
The salary range for this position is $49,390 – $79,023 per year.
