Job summary

Salas O’Brien in New York City is seeking an entry-level Energy Engineer to support energy efficiency and decarbonization projects at the portfolio level.

You will perform energy audits, benchmarking, and utility analysis, and model energy using eQuest and IESVE, with growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0-2 years of experience in engineering.
• EIT Certification preferred but not required with a willingness to obtain in 1-2 years.
• Interest in building decarbonization.
• College coursework focused on the built environment and building decarbonization.
• Should have basic knowledge of New York City climate and carbon-related local laws.

Job Summary

Salas O’Brien is looking to fill an entry-level Energy Engineer position to support our energy and decarbonization work on a project and portfolio level. Job tasks include supporting energy efficiency, sustainability and decarbonization initiatives to meet carbon reduction goals in the built environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, project experience and qualifications.

This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
