Job summary

DMC Engineering is seeking an Embedded Engineer for a hybrid role in the United States. The position targets entry‑level engineers (0–3 years) and includes a strong onboarding program to align skills with project work.

The role focuses on designing and implementing embedded solutions, collaborating across teams and with clients, and documenting hardware and firmware implementations. A bachelor’s degree in EE/CE is required, with GPA 3.4 and exposure to OO design.

  • Experience with programming concepts and object‑oriented design.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded applications using C/C++ and Python.
  • Work with Altium or similar tools for PCB design and MCU configuration.
  • Troubleshoot with lab hardware (oscilloscope, DMM, soldering).
  • Collaborate with team and communicate solutions to clients.
  • Document hardware and firmware designs and deliverables.
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and project planning.
  • Learn new technologies with guidance and participate in business processes.

Job description

(Hybrid)

Are you passionate about embedded systems, from initial ideas to hardware design to final firmware? As an Embedded Engineer at DMC, you will use your embedded expertise and engineering fundamentals to develop solutions for custom embedded projects. This role offers a mix of independent work and cross-functional collaboration - including regular communication with clients, project coordination, and relationship building.

This role is for any entry level engineer (0-3 years of experience). We have an exceptional onboarding and training program to help align your skillset with our technical offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Programs using common embedded languages and frameworks (e.g. C, C++, Python, FreeRTOS, Zephyr,)
  • Use industry standard tools to support embedded development (Altium or similar for PCB design, simulation application, MCU IDEs, pin configuration tools, etc.)
  • Perform hands‑on troubleshooting with common lab hardware (oscilloscope, DMM, soldering tools, etc.)
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate technical solutions to clients
  • Document hardware and firmware designs, implementations, and delivered solutions
  • Support project planning and contribute to system architecture decisions
  • Learn new technologies relevant to assigned projects with guidance
  • Gain exposure to sales, business development, and internal project processes
Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Experience with programming concepts, including text based languages and object-oriented design
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply established patternsAbility to manage time across multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
