Job summary

Actalent seeks an Electronics Engineering Technician for entry-level electrical engineering support in Beaverton, OR. The role focuses on diagnosing electronic failures in precision test and measurement equipment, using schematics, diagnostic tools, and test equipment to identify root causes and verify repairs.

You will support both production and engineering teams, performing debugging, calibration, and documentation of findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electronics or military electronics experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, block diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Proven troubleshooting skills down to component level with structured approach.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electronic failures on complex precision test and measurement products, focusing on root-cause analysis.
• Interpret schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams to understand circuit functionality and isolate faults.
• Troubleshoot to the component level using structured logic and pattern recognition to identify failure points.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and test results to guide troubleshooting and repair decisions.
• Apply electronics principles to identify likely failure points in analog and digital circuits.
• Operate scopes, generators, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies to validate repairs.
• Perform functional and performance tests to verify pass/fail and compliance with specs.
• Support production and engineering teams with evaluations, failure analyses, and resolutions.
• Communicate findings clearly, detailing symptoms, root causes, and resolutions.
